“Paul has been a fantastic instructor. I had been wrapped up in my own anxiety about driving for 10 years, he has gently and firmly and with full confidence pushed me outside my comfort zone so I could grow in my skills. He’s been honest and had much integrity whilst doing so, never pushing beyond my limitations.

He was happy to go back to the extreme basics with me and tackling anxious habits such as; wanting to pull over when seeing oncoming traffic, trying to drive too close to curbs to avoid other cars, panicking and hitting brakes, taking eyes off the road in front of me to shoulder check and so on.

He’s always been willing to answer my questions about handling a scenario which is confusing me on the road and he corrects gently and with good humour rather than harsh chastisement.

As I was a longer term student due to my anxiety, he helped accommodate me and made the lessons affordable and accessible to me. He never carried a lesson out past what I could afford and was clear and upfront from the start that he didn’t want to take advantage of my situation financially by dragging things on past what I needed.

He’s understood my boundaries around what I am not ready for mentally and has been willing to break things down into minute details so that I could better understand them.”

Meet the Instructor

Hi, my name is Paul! After proudly serving my country in the Royal Canadian Navy, I entered the transportation sector as a Class 1 Driver in 2003. I crossed 9 provinces and 48 states during my tenure.

In 2012, I began teaching as an In-Cab Instructor, training new drivers about the practical portion of their profession.

Since 2020, I have led Class 1 and Class 3 Licensing Courses with a pass rate of 90% and worked with countless Class 5 students!

My new Nissan Murano and I are equipped and passionate about developing your skills with a variety of courses. My flexible schedule makes me available at most times of day, and i look forward to getting to know you!
